| How Do I Register My Troop? |

These instructions are for Troop Leaders Only: All girls and/or adults who are registering with a troop MUST hand in the registratiom forms directly to your Girl Scout leader.
Leaders, once you have been approved as a leader, attended your trainings, been given a list of the girls to contact for your troop, and confirmed which ones will join - you'll need to register your girls and parents for the upcoming Girl Scout year. Here are the simple steps:
1.a. New troops will make copies of the current registration form online (see the Forms link) for girls and/or adults to distribute to prospective troop members. 1.b. Currently Registered troops will receive pre-printed forms each spring to re-regisgter their girls for the next program year.
2. Ask the parents to fill out this form for the girl/and or adult. Please take care to make the information legible.
3. Ask the parent to make a check payable to GSJS for each registration they give you. (Current registration fee is $12 per person)
4. The leader must collect all registration forms and payment from the girls and/or parents in her troop. Please review the information and make sure to fill out the following information on each form: Council Code= 134
5. Make a copy of the registration form for you, as a leader, to keep. (Use these forms to create a troop listing for yourself)
6. Place all the forms together, with the payments in an envelope addressed to the Service Unit Registrar.*
7. Print a Troop Summary form from the Forms link, fill it out, and include it with your registrations - if this is the first registrations you are handing in for the Girl Scout year. This form is the official notification to the council of your troop. **
8. Drop off a completed registration packet to the Service Unit registrar (see the Contact Us page for the current information).
9. If you have any questions about the registration process or paperwork, please contact the current Service Unit Registrar.
*If you are a returning troop, we suggest you collect the registration fees, deposit them into your troop account, and write one troop check for your registrations. **You must turn in the Troop Summary one time at the beginning of each year when you register. After that, you may add additional girls/adult registrations to your troop at any time without submitting this form. Please make sure each add-on has the troop number marked!
